Gone Fishing

A new business is opening up in Taree.

Manning Valley Collectables will be opening their doors on 29th August. Business owner Bronwyn Rich is excited about this new business venture. “I’ve always had a passion for collecting and now I have an opportunity to turn my hobby into a business” said Bronwyn.

Bronwyn is a prolific collector with a wealth of knowledge and experience and a true lover of all things retro and vintage.

Located in the old fishing tackle shop in Manning Street, the new business will be of special interest to those with a love of vintage items, collectables, books, retro, art deco, general bric-a-brac and quirky items, as well as decorator's items.

“People are now rediscovering all those K’iche 1960s and 70s things that we grew up with as kids” said Bronwyn.

Shane McLeay, Taree Business Chamber President said "Passion and vision are the key to success in business and on that basis alone Bronwyn is a true inspiration and I know she will be successful in this venture"

Bronwyn is well known in Taree as the owner of Manning Valley Tackle. “This was a business I inherited” she said “My true passion is antiques and collectables and while I enjoyed the fishing business, it is time to move on”.

“Whilst it is always sad to see a business close, it is equally fantastic to see a new business open and with it new opportunities are created” said Simon Brown, Client Manager with Edmund Barton Centre, who have been assisting Bronwyn through the change.

Manning Valley Collectables will open for business on 29 August .
