Press Release 21 May 2012 - TAFE Supports Small Business

TAFE is offering subsidised business courses for any organisation that deals with tourism – such as cafes, restaurants, hotels, motels, or retailers that have a tourism market.

The courses offered are Certificate IV Business Management and Certificate IV Frontline Management.

Client Manager for the Edmund Barton Centre, Simon Brown said ”These courses are especially suited to aspiring business owners that are just starting out, or existing business owners wanting to extend their skills.”

“In business today, it is about continuous improvement and business owners that are always looking to improve their skills will always be more successful than those that do not”.

The cost for the Frontline Management course is normally $3800.00 however TAFE is offering the course for $1067 invoiced over three payments, as you progress through the course, which covers an administration fee, textbooks and where required, any tuition. Enrolments close 28 May.

The cost for the Certificate IV Business Management is $984.00 and again the price covers administration fee, textbooks and where required, any tuition, however this reduces to $492 if completed in six months. Enrolments close 30 June.

“The flexibility of these courses with online or face to face learning means that participants can do the training as quick or as slowly as they want. It is possible to do within six months” said Mr Brown.

Enquires for the course can be made to Ann Edmonds on 0439 827 366 or via email ann.edmonds@tafensw.edu.au.
